From colleagues to friends: true friendships form between our consultants
Colleagues who become friends? The importance of close friends
Friends are very important, this is concluded in many studies. They improve our strength, reduce stress, and boost our confidence. Some friends are made in kindergarten, others on the job. Even though finance consultants with iCredit are independently working in a team for our clients, there are many friendships made in consultancy.
iCredit improves the connection between consultants
A great example of this are Nicole Masengu and Vanessa van Vlasselaer. “We were in the same team on a project for Beobank”, mentions Nicole. “We connected right away and were on the same page quickly. Even after two years, we can still talk about anything with each other.” The distance between the ladies, Vanessa is from Mechelen and Nicole from Aalst, doesn´t keep them from participating in lots of activities. “Go to restaurants, shopping, spending holidays together, sleepovers, we do it all”, explains Nicole.
Both financial consultants consider the finance community of iCredit of big value. “iCredit really takes the initiative to bring us closer”, mentions Vanessa. “Every month they organize a nice activity. Even in times of Corona, we stuck together online. They put everything together to create connections between consultants and I am grateful for this.”
Making friends on the job
Did you know most people spend their time with colleagues more than they do with friends and family? That is why a good work relationship is so important. Employees with friends on the job are not just happier, they are also more loyal, motivated and work harder. Yagmur Kiztok and Aagje Vanhoolandt can talk about that.
“It was nice to be surrounded by iCredit colleagues from the start of my first project”, mentions Yagmur, who started in February. “Definately with a friend like Aagje. We learned a great deal from each other. Thank to the friendship I felt comfortable. No better motivation than collaborating with a teammember to whom I can always empty my heart.”
Aagje knows the feeling. “I tend to ask questions more easily to someone I know and trust.” The two friends have not seen each other that often due to Corona, but that is not even the most important thing according to Aagje. “I know I can always call Yagmur when I need her.”
