Project highlight: AR & AP officer at a leasingcompany

Our finance consultants take care of challenging projects, like to learn, and are not afraid of new tasks. This way you can use them for various assignments within your company. We illustrate this with a concrete example: our consultant Eylem is currently working as AR & AP Officer at a leasing company. Confidence is great. An exclusive look at the progress of the project! *

The start-up: managing payment processes

The project started with the management of the manual payment process. From paying invoices from suppliers that were missing in the database, to driver costs for technical control, fuel, garage visit … refunding. Finance consultant Eylem quickly mastered these processes and was given additional responsibilities, namely entering invoices for unpaid fines that had ended up with bailiffs. She made sure that the bailiff was paid and then invoiced the customer again to recover the money from the driver.

The expansion: more work, more responsibilities

Due to illness and pregnancy rest in the team, Eylem’s range of tasks expanded further. She passed the manual payment process on to a new consultant, taking on a mentoring role. She herself put her teeth into various other assignments: entering customer accounts, checking the invoice interface on a daily basis, cleaning up waiting accounts, making transfers between accounts…

When the leasing company took over a competitor’s fleet, the workload doubled. Our finance consultant made sure that all additional invoices were entered in time via Key Business Financial, a specific software. Eylem had to start from scratch. Nevertheless, she managed everything in the right direction and was the first point of contact. As soon as the process was ready, she explained the flow to a colleague.

“The range of tasks is perfect for me. Matching and entering invoices gives me energy!” – Eylem, finance consultant at iCredit

The future: optimizing and digitizing payment processes

Today, as AR & AP Officer, Eylem again takes the lead in the manual payment process, due to the departure of a colleague. In the future, the leasing company wants to digitize this process. She already wrote out the course of technical control from A to Z. The intention is that drivers request their payment directly via a digital platform, and the refund is then automatic. As soon as IT gives the green light, the switchover will start. Eylem will also manage this project professionally.

The competences: flexible, flawless and with a lot of responsibility

A job with a lot of responsibility requires strong competencies. One of them was time management. Eylem had to organize her work as an AR & AP Officer independently. From preparing invoices to making manual payments: efficiency was crucial to meet all deadlines. Of course this had to be done flawlessly. Thanks to her punctuality and strong analytical skills, there were no mistakes in payments.

She successfully ticked off every task with a great sense of responsibility. Has the job content been modified? Eylem was open to change and switched flexibly. Moreover, she enthusiastically shared her knowledge with student workers and colleagues.

Need extra expertise within your finance department? Our finance consultants are extremely committed, enthusiastically share their knowledge and switch tasks smoothly.
